About modern Vrindavan

The present Yamuna is higly polluted and we heard there was a government funded project aimed at restoring Yamuna and sanctity of Vrindavan. Our next stop was the famous Nidhivan, a small tulsi grove, the locals believe that Krishna and Radha come here every night. After visiting a few more temples we decided to call it a day also the sun was setting, we slowly retreated back to our hotel room.
The next days target was to cover Govardhan Parvat and Radha Kunj. Govardhan parvan is about 25 km from Mathura, we were lucky enough to get a direct autorickshaw and were quite excited. Govardhan Parvat is revered as the hill which was held up by Krishna on the tip of his fingers from seven days and nights when the great deluge took place as a result of Indra's (The kind of the heavens.) wrath at the people for not performing yagya for him.
