About modern Vrindavan
The present Yamuna is higly polluted and we heard there was
a government funded project aimed at restoring Yamuna and sanctity of
Vrindavan. Our next stop was the famous Nidhivan, a small tulsi grove, the
locals believe that Krishna and Radha come here every
night. After visiting a few more temples we decided to call it a day also the
sun was setting, we slowly retreated back to our hotel room.
The next days target was to cover Govardhan Parvat and Radha Kunj. Govardhan parvan is about 25 km fromMathura ,
we were lucky enough to get a direct autorickshaw and were quite excited.
Govardhan Parvat is revered as the hill which was held up by Krishna
on the tip of his fingers from seven days and nights when the great deluge took
place as a result of Indra's (The kind of the heavens.) wrath at the people for
not performing yagya for him.
The next days target was to cover Govardhan Parvat and Radha Kunj. Govardhan parvan is about 25 km from
